Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 16, 2026 · Last updated: April 16, 2026
1. Introduction
IGH Tax Services ("IGH," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at ighservices.com (the "Site"). We respect your privacy and are committed to transparent handling of personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from visitors to the Site, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA). This policy applies only to the Site; information you exchange with us through our client portal (TaxDome) or secure file exchange (Encyro) is governed by those vendors' own policies and by our separate engagement agreement with you.
2. Notice at collection
When you submit a form on this Site we collect only what is necessary to respond to your request. We do not sell or share personal information. We do not use your information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Below we enumerate each category we collect, the business purpose, and the retention period.
3. Categories of personal information we collect
In the prior twelve (12) months we have collected the following categories:
- Identifiers — full name, email address, telephone number, IP address, user-agent string.
- Customer records — information you voluntarily provide in a contact message, such as the nature of your tax question.
- Internet or network activity — logs of API requests you make to this Site, including timestamps and rate-limit counters.
- Inferences — none.
- Sensitive personal information — none. Do not send tax identification numbers, bank account details, or other sensitive data through this Site; use our secure Encyro portal for that purpose.
4. Sources of personal information
All personal information we collect comes directly from you through forms you choose to submit, or automatically from your browser and network (IP address, user-agent) when you interact with the Site.
5. Purposes of collection and use
- To respond to your inquiry or to deliver the template, engagement letter, or form you requested.
- To enforce rate limits on our API endpoints so that our forms are not abused.
- To prevent fraud and to maintain the security of the Site.
- To comply with legal obligations including tax-practitioner regulations.
6. Disclosure to service providers
We share personal information only with the following service providers, each of which is bound by a written contract restricting use of the information to the business purposes we specify. None of these disclosures constitutes a "sale" or "share" under CCPA/CPRA.
- Resend — transactional email delivery. Receives the name, email, phone, and message you submit.
- Upstash — serverless Redis used for rate limiting. Receives your IP address and a request counter.
- Vercel — hosting provider. Receives your IP address and standard HTTP request metadata.
- Calendly — appointment scheduling, only if you consent to marketing cookies and actively use the embed or link.
7. Sale and sharing of personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: when your browser sends GPC, we automatically treat it as a valid opt-out and disable non-essential cookies for your visit. You can also exercise your right to opt out at any time using the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the Site footer.
8. Retention
- Lead and contact emails are retained in our inbox for ninety (90) days unless you become a client, in which case retention is governed by our engagement agreement and applicable tax-records law.
- Server and access logs are retained for no longer than thirty (30) days.
- Rate-limit counters expire automatically after one (1) hour.
- Consent preferences are stored locally in your browser for up to twelve (12) months, after which we will ask again.
9. Your rights under CCPA/CPRA
If you are a California resident you have the following rights:
- Right to know — the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, purposes, and third parties we have disclosed to.
- Right to delete — request deletion of personal information we have collected, subject to limited exceptions (for example, records we must retain to comply with tax law).
- Right to correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing — even though we do not sell or share, you may formally exercise this right via the "Your Privacy Choices" link.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect sensitive personal information through this Site.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
10. How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of the rights above, email us at privacy@ighservices.com or write to us at IGH Tax Services, Privacy Officer, [Physical address pending — contact us via email or phone at the numbers above]. Please include enough information for us to verify your identity (for example, the email address from which you previously contacted us and a description of your request). We will respond within forty-five (45) days; complex requests may require an additional forty-five (45) days, and we will tell you if we need the extension.
11. Authorized agents
You may designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf. The agent must provide us with written permission signed by you, and we may still ask you to verify your own identity directly with us or to confirm to us that you granted the agent permission.
12. Minors
The Site is not directed at children under sixteen (16). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under sixteen (16), and we do not sell or share the personal information of any individual we know to be under sixteen (16).
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy from time to time. When we do we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make material changes we will also post a notice on the Site.
