IGH — In Good Hands Services

Accessibility Statement

Effective date: April 16, 2026

1. Our commitment

IGH Tax Services is committed to ensuring that our website at ighservices.com is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We believe that every visitor should be able to find the tax help they need on our Site, regardless of ability or the assistive technology they use. Accessibility is a core part of how we design, build, and maintain this Site — not an afterthought.

2. Conformance target

We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, language, learning, motor, and neurological disabilities. Our internal and third-party testing indicates the Site currently meets this conformance level.

3. Measures we take

  • Use semantic HTML5 landmarks (header, nav, main, aside, footer) on every page.
  • Provide a visible skip-to-content link as the first focusable element of every page.
  • Ensure all interactive elements are reachable via keyboard with a clear focus-visible indicator that meets a 3:1 contrast ratio.
  • Maintain body-text contrast of at least 4.5:1 and large-text contrast of at least 3:1.
  • Attach visible, programmatically associated labels to every form input and announce validation errors via role="alert" and aria-live regions.
  • Write meaningful alt text for content images and use empty alt="" on decorative images.
  • Honor the prefers-reduced-motion user setting by disabling non-essential animation.
  • Include descriptive page titles, one <h1> per page, and logical heading order.
  • Run automated accessibility checks (axe-core) in our continuous-integration pipeline; pull requests fail if any violation is introduced.
  • Perform manual keyboard and screen-reader testing on every release.

4. Assistive-technology compatibility

We have tested recent versions of the Site against the following combinations. If you use a different combination and something is not working for you, please let us know.

  • NVDA screen reader with Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome on Windows 11.
  • VoiceOver screen reader with Safari on macOS Sonoma and on iOS.
  • Keyboard-only navigation with Tab, Shift-Tab, Enter, Space, and Escape.
  • Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • High-contrast mode on Windows and dark mode on macOS.

5. Known limitations

Despite our best efforts there may be aspects of the Site that are not fully accessible. We track known issues internally and work to resolve them as quickly as possible. Current limitations we are aware of:

  • Third-party services we embed (such as the Calendly scheduler, when you consent to marketing cookies) are outside our direct control. If you cannot use a third-party widget, please contact us and we will help you complete the action by phone or email.
  • Some PDF forms we distribute are published by the IRS and may not meet WCAG 2.1 AA in their original form. Tagged accessible versions are available on the IRS website.

6. Feedback and formal complaints

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of ighservices.com. Please contact us if you encounter an accessibility barrier:

  • Email: accessibility@ighservices.com
  • Telephone: (888) 669-1094
  • Postal mail: IGH Tax Services, Attn: Accessibility, [Physical address pending — contact us via email or phone at the numbers above]

We try to respond to accessibility feedback within two (2) business days and to resolve reported issues within ten (10) business days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a formal complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

7. Date of assessment

This statement was prepared on April 16, 2026. The most recent internal assessment of WCAG 2.1 AA conformance was completed on April 10, 2026 using a combination of automated tooling (axe-core, Lighthouse) and manual review.
